BOB: Adam never mentioned you before.

GEORGE: Ah, well, he was planning on introducing me today. I gather he hasn't gotten here yet?

BOB (after looking around the room for a second): No, he's not here.

GEORGE: Well, mind if I wait for him, then? I'm not that early (looking at watch). He should be here any minute.

GEORGE: His wife knows my wife.

BOB: I see, high-school buddies, are they?

GEORGE: No, they met three weeks ago.

BOB: At the supermarket?

GEORGE: On the internet.

BOB: Oh.

There is a long silence.

BOB: Well, uh, George, is it?

GEORGE: George.

BOB: Perhaps we'd better get down to business, then?

GEORGE: I'd rather wait for Adam.

BOB: Do we have to?

GEORGE (interrupting): Yes.

There is a short pause, while Bob looks around the room

BOB: Just as well; my damn wife seems to have moved my briefcase.

There is a long pause, where Bob looks more and more antsy.

BOB (standing up abruptly): Well, I think I'd better find my wife (Grabs his cigarettes off the chest). Just make yourself at home; I should be back shortly.

GEORGE: Shouldn't you wait for -

BOB: Well, I'll see you later, George! Good meeting ya, pal! (shaking George's hand vigorously) I'll be back in a few! Sayonara!
